A gift from the Art

Scaling Artwork to Your Wall Size

As a general rule of thumb, place smaller artwork on narrow walls and larger pictures on big wall spaces.

Notice the before and after images here and how much more balance is achieved with the larger tapestry hung in this dining room. The two tiny pictures hung centered on the wall simply did not carry enough weight for both the wall and the dark wood furniture.

A well-done, balanced arrangement using multiple pieces of art is another great way to fill up wall space and create a focal point.

art and wall size

A great example of scaling art to wall size and creating a beautiful focal point.
